One of the best winter drinks and very easy to make. It goes perfectly with cookies. If you are a fan of caramel taste you will like it.
Some people drink it when they are sick. They believe it cures sore throat or cough. I am not sure about that, but I know it keeps you warm!
You need for two cups:
4 tablespoons sugar
2 cups whole milk
On the picture below you can see the process of making caramel. On low heat allow sugar to melt. You have to stir it often. At some point sugar will start to turn dark brown and to burn. That is the moment when you have to add warm milk. Using wooden spoon scrape caramel on the bottom until it completely dissolves in milk. Serve caramel milk while is hot.
I have to admit I love stuff from dining section in Anthropologie stores. I recently received their latest catalog and decided to use it for photo styling for this blog. Afterward I realized that on my pictures I had cups, plate, napkin and catalog from the same store. Interesting, it wasn't planed.
